The Winston-Salem State University student communities are mourning the sudden demise of three students who passed away unexpectedly.
22-year-old Kharis McGee died on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. She battled cancer; according to her family, she was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing.
Quentin Glass was killed in an accident, a family member confirmed. The Glass family released details for the funeral memorial;

Chaz Zoey Williams was a beloved daughter and sister. No further details were released in connection to her demise.
